Letters to 3rd grade parents are being sent out to help gather comments and data to answer their first important organization question, How does a 3rd grader keep an organized desk?
Delena took photos yesterday and uploaded them to Google Slide shows them embedded those slideshows onto their website.
She received some help in the lab to create the Google Form survey and hyperlink it on the page.
The project is part of Delana, Zion, Sofia, and Giana’s research fellows project – Organized Kids. Their project is to build a website of resources for kids and parents to find organizational tools that work! You can help. We’ll be asking for your opinions and posting your ideas.
They started with the idea of organizing our desks. Benjamin Franklin was quoted as saying, “A place for everything and everything in its place.” Our own 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Sable, thinks having an organized desk is important because it allows you to find all of your materials quickly and helps you be prepared for the next task. If you spend too much time searching for things in your desk, you fall behind and miss a lot of important directions. Also, if you learn to be organized as a kid you will then turn into an organized adult, and that is a GREAT thing!
Great work Organized Kids. We can’t wait to see what you learn from your research!
