2013-14 Research Fellows Announced!

Baden Academy Charter School is thrilled to announce the 2013-14 Research Fellows. Twelve third and fourth graders were chosen from twenty-two applications. Projects range from space radiation shielding to App Development.

The Research Fellows Program at the school is available by application to students in grades three and up. They are invited to apply by proposing real-world research projects that benefit the school, the community, and the world. As a Research Fellow, students will have robust opportunities for creative inquiry into fields of study that pique their imaginations and resonate with their unique talents and individual passions.

Projects take an entire school year to complete. Last year’s Imagination Celebration including new Children’s Books, videos, robotic practical jokes, video games (programmed by students in Scratch), and incredible snake sculptures raffled to benefit conservation efforts.

Research Fellows are currently soliciting mentors for their projects and will be working hard to prepare the 2014 Imagination Celebration for May of next year. Follow the Fellows progress from project creation to completion by subscribing to the student constructed media lab website.
