Baden Academy Chess Club Information Evening
Thursday, December 4, 6:30 pm, Media Lab
Log into the Baden Academy Chess Club website
http://badenacademychessclub.weebly.com/
and click on the “Join the club” form.
Students younger than grade 3 can still participate in earning online points (which will translate into media lab points!).
Tournaments will be for grade 3-5.
Chess game practice is online. The website is called chesscademy.com. Students might need a hand creating a login and password. Chesscademy has tutorials to lead them through learning the very basics to learning complex strategies. It is very kid friendly. Teachers are aware that a student who is done with their work and looking for a challenge, can ask to take a computer from the cart or the learning station and log in to continue their progress.
Come to the information session to discuss tournaments, get help setting up your child’s free account, or come up with ideas to grow the club!
